Mr. Popper’s Penguins

I really recommend this book to you. Mr. Popper’s Penguins is about when Mr. Popper, a poor man who can barely support his wife and his son and daughter because of his low-paying job as a painter.

When he receives a penguin from Admiral Wright, he names it Captain Cook. He gives him( the man assumed it was a him) a place to sleep on an ice bag in the refrigerator. When Captain Cook got sick because of loneliness,

they receive a penguin named Greta from the aquarium. Captain Cook was better, but since they looked exactly alike, Mr. Popper had to write Capt. Cook in permanent marker on Captain Cook’s back, and then

he had to write Greta in permanent marker on Greta’s back. Mr. Popper decides to make a living out of the penguins. He gets rich but at the end he decides to turn them over to Admiral Wright to live in the

North Pole where they should live. The moral is to do the right thing, even when it’s hard to do so. Read this book, it is good.
