The Lightning Thief

You should read The Lightning Thief, no matter how old it could look, no matter how ugly it could look, because I first started on Rick Riordan’s series Percy Jackson and the Olympians when my older sister Jacinta introduced to me a library book called The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, but it looked so old and the picture didn’t look that exciting that I delayed reading it until that night, when we went out to eat. I started reading the book and I wanted to finish it, but unfortunately, the book was overdue. I got lucky, though, because it was in September that she showed me the book, so a few weeks later, she gave me The Lightning Thief for my birthday as a present. This is a very good book about when Percy Jackson first discovers the fact that he is a half-blood. He goes to Camp Half-Blood after nearly being killed by the Minotaur, a monster from Greek mythology that is half man, half bull, but he uses his wit and speed as a half-blood to kill the Minotaur instead of the Minotaur charging into him. In Camp Half-Blood, he learns that the gods, monsters, Titans, (etc.), from Greek mythology are very much alive and real. He also learns that Zeus’s lightning bolt has been stolen, and Zeus thinks that Percy is the culprit. So Percy has only ten days ’till to find the master bolt and return it to Zeus, and if he doesn’t, then there will be a war between the Big Three: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, supposedly World War III.
